Piraiba pictures

Very dark picture. After extensive research the main characteristics that differentiate the two species is the rows of teeth or whatever you may call it. And I believe something to do with dissecting it. I am not sure what to believe all fish are different but these two fish are significantly alike at the size I have 14"

Great collection of pics for comparisons. I would have to agree that the op's fish is not the true piraiba. Any look around would see that exoticfishguy and I are not best friends so I am not "just backing a friend" as some might say. I would like to have both of these fish species once I have my pond going. I think they are sweet looking!
