Platinum blood parrot

Interesting. Was sold as a "king kong platinum parrot" from china. So its anyones guess but i was hooked when i saw it.

The head shape seems off for a KKP, but like you said anyone's guess as to how this fish was created. Cool looking Chinese fish.

So i came across this little tank today. About 4" i have never seen one in person. I was in the market for a parrot for my step daughter but once i saw this guy i knew he was mine instead lol.

Stunner! If it gets big definitely a showpiece. Almost looks like severum/or convict in there with that chin profile, but I've never heard of white sevs.

He's a short body white convict, aka "jelly bean parrot". Usually you see them as young fish the size of a quarter, not large mature males with kok and streamers. Crosses don't show the streamers on the tail that he shows. Nice fish!

My favorite fish store has these and I assumed jelly Bean parrot with a fancy new name. They are cheaper than regular parrots at the store I shop so I doubt from China for the ones here.
