Very nice tank setup...very natural...well i never even dare to put in my small wolf fish tank...how you make your video slow mo? check my fish out too search under "zeroneox" :D

Just wonder if my this 2 wolf fish is the same type mala. cos 1 head is round and the other one is pointed.





and the second pic the wolf fish got a V shape design too...

it does matters , lacerdae are the second largest species of the hoplias , it grows bigger then malas

both look like malas to me.
maybe different variants like you said.
the head shape does differ in variants.

some get around mala size and some get as big as aimara.:nilly:
