Wow thanks guys! The ropes do seem cool... I don't know if any of my LFSs carry them, but I can check it out. Maybe they'll order me some.
My two teugs were about 18". They killed and ate a rope a synodontis and a butterfly fish all within 3 days. My wife saw the whole rope thing go down and was yelling for me but I didnt hear her at first I was outside with the dogs. So if she'd not have seen it I wouldnt believe it was alive and well when the one attacked it then they both went after it. I had noticed the day before the butterfly missing and I saw the one swallowing the rope too late. They went to a friends on Sunday and had attacked and killed one of his smaller ljs by tuesday. So I agree with and like most of that comment. Do I think all teugs are evil.....no of coarse not. I do believe the smaller ujs shouldnt be housed with larger "fish" though. I know it doesnt always work that way just like it doesnt always not work that way. Just like you wouldnt house your sens with a bunch of neons. After removing them the whole tank changed everyone was out again and not skittish which I had noticed was recently the case. My guess was they were an issue lately for some reason. Though I saw no other signs.3. Palmas Palmas
2. beutikofferi (gold dust)
1. Retropinnis
Note: Polli are not shy. Demeanor similar to Delhezi.
Rankings above as who would be best at Hide & Seek.
My recommendation is getting a Teugelsi. Very active fish and personable demeanor. Fast grower and not a threat to other polys. Compatible with your current stock.

Yeah... I know my albino will end up being the smallest, and he is my favorite. If anything happened to him I would be crushed. I'm not willing to get anything that would be dangerous for him. If ropes are pretty docile, I might just do that. I do like the spots on the polli though. My two teugs were about 18". They killed and ate a rope a synodontis and a butterfly fish all within 3 days. Mine is at 6" and I've had him almost 3 months. He eats like a cow though.I have an albino sens too. he hasn't grown past 4" and I've had him for 5 months. he/she eats well and has excellent water. my ornate, gold dust, delhezi and regular sen all out grew him and are in a bigger tank. I was wondering sarahmander if yours is a slow grower also?
Ropes are super docile. I would have a hard time believing them hurting or especially killing another poly/rope.
Albinos can be smaller and slower growing then others. Albinism is kind of a defect so it only make sense. Its a cool defect I love albinos my albino sen and heckelli are two of my favorite fish.
Amazing Looking! We measured them before they went in my friends tank the one that came from magpie was 18 may be 18 1/4 mine was a little under. I think they came from the same batch from ws. Around March 2017. So about a year and a half.
