Agreed. Sticky. Give some purpose to Levi's aro's death

Levi

that was a damn nice aro

mike

Levi - again, sorry about your aro. hope this thread helps you feel better in knowing that its death helped educate the mfk community and future aro owners.

shall we make this a sticky icky?

I can stick it since you guys suggested it. Thanks for the kind words and support everyone. I'm not out of the aro game. I've got a massive silver swimming around:)

Wurm, I can get a couple of scalpels from work. I have access to a lot of cool surgical equipment.

ohhh, no. Sorry for your loss. It looks a lot like the black aro I used to have.

I see sign of bleeding from brownish stain on the cloth. Could he have slowly bled to death? I lost mine like that before.

My question is, in the wild what do these fish eat? I would think a lot would eat things that fell in the water, such as insects, small rodents like mice or rats, and I think I have heard of them even taking down baby monkeys (I'm assuming if this is true then they would be full grown adults). Why would the shrimps cause such a problem if they are able to digest the claws and bones of the later? Is it that the shrimps are just differnt because of the exoskeleton?

yes yes, the bulk of an arowanas diet is actually fish and invertabrates, nothing else would be more abundant to eat than those two :)

I think we're going to dissect it when wurm gets here.

We'll see what we can find.
