Heres some pics at the second go at my planted tank, i reduced the lighting and took out the c02 and ferts and it is actually doing alot better. It had other plants but they neededs more light and i was haveing bad algae probs with the light so i took it out. Now it has amazon swords, java fern, java moss, and watersprite.
Also i am the 1000th thread in this section so what do i win??
dont have pics of how the old aquascape was but it didnt have any of the rocks (it was really bare). i like it alot cuz its fun to watch the fish search for food in between the rocks when it sinks. i figured the cichlids would like the rocks structures too. i got the rocks from a pile at our hunting grounds when we went up to fix our blinds today. still gotta paint the back of the tank black, but im gonna wait a bit to do that
some pics of my 75 galon, i use plain undergravel filter made from pvc pipes with a small pump, lighting are 6pcs 36watters i think hanging 10 inches overhead. daily dose of macro and micros, pics are of the same tank but different set ups over the months.
just geting started on the whole live planted tank heres my 120
