I got them from a local small chain pet store. Zamzows. They all actually seem to grow well though I think they prefer longer light periods than 10 hours or so. I curently have 2 t8 6500k lights on this tank both pushing 38 watts. That should be 3 watts per inch. I do have a bit of nice fine mat type aglea on my rocks which I do like. I just want to keep a natural balance.
Thanks, the second is definitely Myriophyllum Hippuroides, there is a nearly identical plant available at the fish store that is only a darker shade of green. The first has a lot of looks similar to indica, the only issue with being sure is that I have red leaves as well, the old growth is red where the new growth is green, of course it could be a lighting issue.
Here are the specs:
25 gallon tank
150 watt heater running at 80
2 38watt 6500k bulbs
1 sponge filter powered with a 310
I also have lace rock in there but my PH is not off the charts high like a lot of people would think. I am only in the high 7's right now without peat and driftwood.. I should be able to maintain near base conditions which I am hoping do well for bolivians. I am not running co2, nor do I have a plant type substrate, just gravel. I do one 30% w/c a week.
So what do you think?
Well, I wasn't expecting this to be considered for this category but heh if this is where it goes. As long as I can still get the useful info I was hoping for.
