thanks for appreciating my simple designs, most of the pics i posted are my past setups. i used black volcanic sand in my tanks.

i got this directly near the volcano in our country. i washed it lightly just to get the dirt out and not to remove the nutrients. by the way, what substrate are you using?

right now im using aquarium sand but i really like the natural dark look of yours. i am just wondering if it would be safe for rays, and also if i can even find a place to buy it at..

florite makes a black sand but i think it is darker then what he has.
