they look more like Balloons than Catfish. And i'm searching and the only one i could find was Chaca Chaca but they are Ambusher so they arent very active at all.
Mine don't swim at all I wake up and he will be in a different spot but I feed him 3 to 4 feeders a day and I watch him eat 90% of them

They can get to 10 in. Not picky with food. Can keep tankmates with them. Fine in a 75g for life. Had mine with polys, hujeta gars m, red cudas and barbs. Did well and was active compared other wolves.
That sounds absolutely perfect. I've actually been looking out for them at my LFS, but I didn't think I knew enough about them to buy one. It's funny, because the fish you listed are the exact kinds I have right now, haha! I am OBSESSED with their cute lil toothy faces.

I think you will hate having a catfish for your solo pet. 90% of catfish are elusive and nocturnal. Itll look like an empty tank. Pick yourself up an amphilophus of some sort or a flowerhorn.
Sometimes, you can get away with one big specimen and a diminutive catfish for clean up time after feeding. A classic is a big ole armored cat and some sort of bad*ss cichlid, like an Oscar or something. This also works with bass, peacock cichlids, and sometimes large puffers. ATFs and Dorados too.

I have a tank of the same size, and I've struggled finding good big fish to keep that aren't too big or too small. Here's a list - these may be slightly inaccurate and anyone is welcome to correct me:
Pike Characins - 7-11 inches
Snydontis Sp. Catfish - 10-12 inches
Medium to Large Gouramis - 6-10 inches
Bala Shark - 12-14 inches (You may need to move them out at adult size)
Jack Dempsey Cichlids - 12 inches
Chocolate Cichlids - 9 inches?
Severum - 11 inches
Discus - 10 inches
Angel Fish - 10 inches
African Butterfly Fish - 5 inches
Yellowtail Freshwater Barracuda - 9-10 inches?
Some species of Polypterus - 11-14 inches
Archerfish (Brackish) - 6-7 inches
Other small Cichlids - 7-13 inches
African Brown Knifefish - 10 inches
Ghost Knifefish - 11 inches
Ropefish - 3 feet, lazy, can breathe air
Plecos (Some get MASSIVE though) - 8-14 inches, small species only
Silver Dollars - 5-12 inches
Freshwater Moray (brackish) - 16 inches
Small Puffer Species (Must be kept alone) - 13 inches
Other small Cafish species - 9-13 inches
Geophagus Sp. - 8-12 inches

Feel free to add to or correct the list!
About Geophaguses - they look a bit boring at first, but with some nice driftwood, live plants and a sandy bottom paired with the perfect lighting, these guys can be mixed and matched in schools and they are very lively fish. Their family is huge and there are all kinds to chose from. I only got rid of mine because of the ABKF (African Brown Knife Fish) that I bought. He was super duper sensitive. Here are two of the Geos I kept a while ago.IMG_0754.JPG IMG_0765.JPG

I have polypterus and African knife fish in my 75 gallon. Well planted tank with lots of activity, some mid-sized cichlids could work. Why not a firemouth group?
