Would a 60 gallon be an okay permanent home? I know 75 gallon is the most ideal.. but since the only fish I'll have in the tank is my fh, would a 60 gal be okay?

Yes, it should work. Just keep the FH in there and that's it. But like big_one said tank dimensions do matter. Tall tanks are not as good as long ones.

What is the footprint of the tank?

I'm not sure on the length.. but the width and height is the same as a 75 gallon. I think the width is 18 inches and I'm not sure on the height.. The length would be a little shorter and thats about it.

Not ideal but would prolly work

Every 60 gallon I have ever seen has been 48x12x23.

I think this one is called a 60 gallon breeder? I'm not sure what its called, but I did compare it to a 75 gallon side by side.

Ok.... a 60g breeder is usually 36x18x24. Three feet of swimming space is not ideal for an adult male Flowerhorn, but it's doable. I'd still aim for a larger "permanent" home, though. :) Could you do a partial trade on Craigslist, get rid of the 60g and get a 75-90g? For some reason, a lot of people in my area have large tanks that they're trying to trade on CL for smaller ones. Might be an option...
