Q On Feeding Live Ghost Shrimp

Did a little googling, here's the results:

Argulus (Fish louse)

Symptoms: The fish scrapes itself against objects, clamped fins, visible parasites about 1/4 inch in diameter are visible on the body of the fish.

The fish louse is a flattened mite-like crustacean about 5 mm long that attaches itself to the body of fish. They irritate the host fish which may have clamped fins, become restless, and may show inflamed areas where the lice have been.
With larger fish and light infestations, the lice can be picked off with a pair of forceps. Other cases can best be done with a 10 to 30 minute bath in 10 mg per liter of potassium permanganate. Or treat the whole tank with 2 mg per liter, but this method is messy and dyes the water.

I have seen fish lice only with fishes, but that doesn't mean it couldn't come in with shrimps. It is very noticeable however, looks like a horseshoe crab. Shrimps are a vector for tapeworms and intestinal parasites though, but i still feed them to my bichirs occasionally.

tere are meds that will kill parasites the trouble is its pretty hard to tell if they have internal parasites and which ones they have

I'm all most possative crustations can't get fish lice adn if they did it would be eazy to see them you can see them with the naked eye there not huge but you could see them plus ghost shrimp are transparent so its pretty eazy to see if they have any parasites so don't worrie to much you can put them in a QT tnak but i would just set up a little 10 gallon or something and breed your own its not hard and there pretty $$$ as feeders i've seen them for like 50 cents each which wasn't a bad price but other stores wan't like $1 each so breeding them isn't a bad idea

How much do you guys pay for ghost-shrimp?

That crappy LFS near me sells ghost shrimp for $5.
EACH!

The other once sells them 5 for .99 I think.

Q.If bichirs do get/have tapes or intestinal parasites. How would you "worm" them? Is there a way?
A.Of course there is ''Prazipro" is one medication and there are others-Anne
