Q On Feeding Live Ghost Shrimp

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
no ghost shrimps are pretty eazy to breed just get a 10 gallon a sponge filter and a small heater tank doens't need to be hot but just keep it in the mids 70s thye don't need much food ether they breed like crawdads/crayfish they get lots of eggs stuck to there tail and soon they hatch and grow into little ghost shrimp its a good idea to add plants like hornwort or something to give the little shrimps some saftey

And algae lots of algae.

yeah they act like little lawn mower sometimes but when i kept them the seemed to ignore algae when theres fish food in the tanks they like simple flakes and broken up pellets also forgot to say its best to isolate females that have eggs what i've seen done is to take a clear plastic cup with a lid those cups bettas come in work geat and poke little holes in it so water can flow in and out and place 1 female in each cup i've seen tanks filled with these cups to really mass produce ghost shrimps

Then when the eggs hatch keep the female we'll feed or remove her from the cup that works alot better and there you go baby ghost shrimps grow fairly fast plus baby ghost shrimps make great fry food if your breeding fish
