I would think it would be 100%, just like when you bred any other xanthic fish to each other, gold severums throw 100% gold severums! Problem is most ot then went out two at a time, low odds for getting a pair, 3 people bought 4-5 fish, much better odds. Ken

Northern and southern What? north and south of a country's collection lake or what?, there are multiple places and lakes jaguars are collected from for the aquarium trade. i simply don't understand this. where did you hear or read of this?

Managuense natural range is Guatamala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Costa Rica, they have been introduced from Mexico down to Panama as a food fish, which is crazy, but the local governments did this, they have also introduced large mouth bass for the same reason. There is a lot of variation in natural populations in pattern and color. The domestic fish is a mixture of many races. I've seen wild fish from almost white to nearly solid black, gold races, from almost no pattern to very spotted and vermiculated. You name it they are out there. Ken

Old thread, I know. But I'm curious, whatever happened to these fish?

not sure, but the only xanthic jag I have seen on here belong(s)ed to VRWC and seems to get brought up a couple times a year.
