the first challenge is the spicy food you have to conquer, if you can't eat it you'll starve, everything is spicy there, even the little kids eat it. and also followed by government new reporters, our entire trip...
it was a little scary when they first asked me if I like the new president or not, since I wasn't sure if they were pro America or not. but the tension eased after a few drinks, and many pack of 2nd hand smoke I inhaled...

What part of China are you/were you in? I went to Beijing for a week and I loved it!

Where the dishes do-able for you in terms of spiciness? Any special local recipe from there you would like to recommend (just in case you remember) ? Have some friend from China so they can explain/advise to add some stuff if it's not complete.
