Rarest until heard of cichlids

Who has rare cichlids I am on the hunt for a white spotted pike cichlid and a super red texas cichlid I have been looking for some time what is your rarest fish that most people have never heard of

on this site you may think you have a rare cichlid, but find there are a few members who have already bred, the one that nobody can get hold of is nandopsis ramsdeni

rarest that no one has heard of would be either one in the wild that hasn't been discovered/described yet or a hybrid that some random guy on a fish farm accidentally made and didn't even know it was a new "species"

Is no rare on this site.

I would say my most uncommon were probably a.Orbicularis (bumble bee oscar) and maybe vieja heterospilus. Dunno if either would be considered rare though

I have a group of adinoacara coerulepunctatus that I'm growing out. Probably the rarest thing in my fish room. Not the flashiest fish you could find, but something that I've always wanted to work with.

In the US, at least so far, the hardest cichlids to get a hold of are Nandopsis ramsdeni, and Iranocichla hormuzensus, and lately some of the lesser known Madagascan cichlids, because of that countries protection laws, restriction on exporting wildlife, and some of the difficulties in captive breeding of these species.
I've seen all the others mentioned in above posts, in local fish stores in Milwaukee, or in local fish club auctions in that general area.

Only fish in my tanks that lfs neare have heard of would be delhezi and sen bichirs. Orher than that they would have no idea of what im talking about.

I have a Bujurquina sp. Río Choré-Choré, bought it as a blue acara, never even heard of them before.

My favourite rare cichlid that I really want but can't get is astronatus rubrocellatus from Rio Negro. Impossible for me to get in Australia, but then again, a lot of things are.
