haha.. fragile?? hahaha.. when I siphon the tank I actually heave myself up the right short side and step into it.. :D the structure is 21mm (almost a full inch) ply with 160 plugs that are drilled in a 30 degree angle " \ / " and about 30 high performance screws for maximum stability.. if, and I'm really saying if, it breaks it would be in the seams.. I could have gone with external bracing but since I deamed it unnecessary since I overdimensioned everything from the start. :D

Looks pretty awesome
Did you have any problems with anything in the process of your build?
Thinkin' I might want to try this out myself...

Yeah you made it look so easy! Nice work.

Makes me want to make myself a giant tank.

if you have the space just do it! :D I would recommend you to go bigger than this though.. it's less $ per gallon that way.. I recon you could find a used acrylic tank in the US for the price I paid for this build.. I had some problems with this build, especially getting the seams tight around the overflow. that took about the same time to get fixed as building the entire tank.. haha..

just make sure to buy everything in advance if your'e going to DIY because otherwise money always become the problem.. if you have everything you feel more enthusiastic.. :D

Thanks :) I need a large tank for my mbu!
Nice to see an alternative, I've never seen a pond liner tank build before

You are right, the US has very well priced monster tanks, but up here in Canada it seems to be A LOT pricier!!!

No worries ... I just might!!
Been looking around lately for a large tank.
They are either too expensive or far too heavy.
This seems like a good solution.. I may bother you if I have any Q's!!
