usually for ponds u juz drain out say 10% to 20% of water by unplugging and plugging the standpipes connecting to the filter chambers and also main pond, then just fill up with hose connecting to your tap, at same time dose with some anti chlorine or some ponders prefilter their tap water. as for me i seldom top up, just drain out 10% to 15% weekly when the rain comes.. :D
