Red Frontosa

Not really sure how they came up with it, but I saw some today at a lfs. They did not impress me, they colors appeared to be dull and I really did not
see any read to speak of. Thew were housed in a tank right next to some
7 stripes and the 7's looked way more impressive. The reds were listed for 29.99 and the 7's were listed for 19.99 @ 1.5" for both.

I was talking to a dasnai last year that told me if you feed frons the red enhansing food it will turn them red..... I doubt that it would be a deep red.

I tried this with a baby front, and the body color pretty much stayed the same but the fins turned a dark yellow color. Unfortunatly the bands didn't change.

I didnt think much of any of the"red"ones either.
Zaire blue now thats an impressive fish

i have 3 red frontosas and they are a lighter color but when they get some size on them they turn out with a copper/red color on them
