Red Terror species differences

I am looking to get a pair of red Terrors so far I have recieved a Mayan Male cichlid, thank you to some experts here helping me ID it. Thank you for your help. I found another guy selling 2 inch ones but I dont know if these are True red terrors I am sorry for asking so many questions about this but I want to be sure I'm getting the real McCoy.

These are the pics of the parents he sent me they dont look like what I'm seeing here but i know stress in net catching can affect how they look.

In the two photos below he says these are the Male/female pair he has the babies from. So are these true red terrors ? Any expert here on these brother or sister I would greatly appreciate your guidance. Thank you sincerely for any knowledge guidance you would share with me. These kind of look like **** compared to what I'm seeing on here from some of the pics I've seen here.

Thanks for responding brother, I did some research hes selling amphilophus festae that's what those two are. I just found out about 2 hrs ago. I want the Mesoheros. So my search continues. I'll keep the little Mayan Male I got until I see if hes one of the truly colorful ones if so I'll have my son in Florida go catch me colorful female Mayan to go with him. I'm seeing some are extremely colorful some aren't. I am setting up 300 gal stock tanks buried in the ground to about 6 inches from the rim power head with canister carbon filter attached in them for filtration lip drain in rim one inch from rim with mesh screen to let overflow run out when it rains, 500 watt heaters in them for cold weather I'll use that until I get the pond liner and backhoe out a larger pond 25 x 30 in the spring. Use the stock tanks after to breed feeders for them. Or at least that's the plan I'll see how it goes.

I understand what you're saying dna genetic wise I did some reading and research after I read what you posted. I want the strong banding and red coloration I'm seeing here not solid colored or dark colored so same fish game fish shmame fish I'm looking for specimens that look a certain way with that variation of appearance like those I've seen here and elsewhere a show quality pair example of them. Those two fish he showed me as the parents of what hes selling look like crap. I'm a invertebrate guy mainly my fish knowledge is outdated by about 20yrs. Which is why I sought some guidance here. Like the Mayans I've seen from Lake Delray beach Florida, colors popping not dull or dark or faded out like some of the other examples ive seen from other places. So while they all are the same fish mesoheros, amphilophus, whatever obviously some look way better than other ones colorwise intensity etc. like ugly vs good looking people. I want Ken and barbie not shrek and fiona. And thank you for clarifying that for me.

ok so you want a certain strain i got that most of the festae i see now i don’t like at all i like the ones i used to see years ago the red females and green males…fyi i’ll be in florida on thursday i’m sure i’ll catch some uros..

Here are photos of the same individual female festae.

Beside with or without a male present , things like temp, water quality, color of substrate, even just plain mood all affect how a festae presents

I got that 100% Duane thank you, but her bars are light in every photo you put up, thats not what I'm looking for I want the full strong bar's I've seen in photos of the same fish just like you put up yours but thier bars were solid strong in all the pics regardless . That's what I'm trying to find brother. *New world,* if you happen to hit Lake delray beach while you're down there in Florida tell me what you think of the Mayan strain there. I want to get a pair from that area was hoping to head down there in the spring.
