Maybe by the weekend I'll be able to look at the tank again......

Lost my Aimara last week. Looking at that tank still makes me sick.

Both of us lost a wolf recently. Sorry to hear that. Any idea how it happened?

Honestly I think it was the Armatus. I think one on one they would have been fine, but beings there was 2 Armatus I think the Aimara was intimidated and just snapped. There was a few days last month he just went on a war path. Messed up both the Armies but the damage he took was worse. Ate a few times after that but was never the same. Almost seemed like he'd rather kill himself trying to remain king of the tank then let something else run it.

Could have also been the Lince. The Lince was never a planned fish, but an opportunity arose, and I took it. But the Lince never really recieved much damage. Gets shanked from time to time but I see the Armatus taking swipes at him.

All and all I'm pretty upset with the Armatus. Everything in that tank has played nice for years prior to those pricks being introduced. They screw with the Dorado and the Lince on a regular basis.

This may just be all the more reason for me to move them out and turn all the ATF loose in there.

He had the attitude of a true monster. And if the armatus really are causing that much trouble I'd say move them before it happens to another fish, especially that you see the aggression and damage.

Oh crap, I'm growing out two armatus...if they could do that to your aimara I dread to think what they can do to my Lei and NTT :/

Sorry for your loss man, it's always tough to lose such a great fish.

Man this lil guy had a blunt head.....

Comparing the small "Brassies" I have now vs these guys leaves this guy scratching his head.

Well you must remember the head thing isn't definitive. It's more of a common occurrence but can't always be trusted. I watched the vid you posted today of the second brassie. How's he eating for you? I see what you mean by he doesn't look like he wants to exist without Robert...

I don't imagine he'll be around much longer. Kinda bummed about this. Pretty expensive fish to just loose for no reason......

We always debated about diet being part of the issue some of us have with Armatus - Maybe it's all Characins in general? I hope you don't need a chinese market within driving distance to be able to obtain food necessary to raise fish like this!?!?!
