Update on the blue aro. Still shy but does come to the tank when i jiggle keys in front of his tank. <sigh> very fickle eater - never refuses mealworms but the rest of the food preferences vary from day to day: prawns and frogs.

This is an arowana that does NOT eat crickets (frozen), it did finally eat a live cricket though only two
ure blue based arow is like my fave asian arow ever!!!! very nice colour! u can see the blue tinge! pretty awesome. ure arows are all thick and fat! looks good for eating x_X

Cheers, bro. BB is blue but the scales are not very uniform somehow :irked: see the pix, but yes, he is definitely blue - very difficult eater as well, but at least he is no longer very shy - heheheh the jiggling of keys usually gets their attention (my silver aros do not respond to movement outside the tank so much) hmmm the body shape is not very impressive on the BB - red one has awesome body

You would not want to eay my fishes, dude :grinno: not with the amount of chemical i use during water changes :naughty:

PS: common it is time for X-back for you - do well in exam and ask your folks for one?

Well, the red aro that was deep orange is entering red now!!!!!!!!! :headbang2:headbang2:headbang2:headbang2 the rims are getting red/pink. Most pronounced near the head and on the top ridge. The other scales are pinking up on the rims now (difficult to capture but the hint is there).

So, let's give me it some more time and hopefuly the development will get deeper and deeper. I do not want to tan him, but there is an option to move him into natural light (but don't want to for now).

Check out the photo zooms of the scales :D:D:D

PS: the X-back who is in contact with natural sun is really coloring up nicely - that one is now GOLD all over:headbang2:headbang2:headbang2
