Yes - thanks! Really gorgeous fish. I am having a hard time deciding on which severum type is most appealing because they're all beautiful in their own way.

I also find it really difficult to figure out how you'd pick one of these 1-2" fish out. I guess that's why many get a group and grow them out.

Also, so many pictures online are of juvenile fish, so it's hard for me to really tell what each adult fish looks like. (I am a super Severum noob.) Those stripes, again, frequently throw me off. I actually like the striping, but I still am unclear on how much the adult fish have them or not. ??

Here is an example - @Brandonclark88 - in your full tank shot, at the bottom, one of your fish has full stripes. Is this common? Uncommon? Dominant markings? Just this one particular fish?

Also, are Sevs like other cichlids in that if you have multiple and they happen to pair up the aggression might kick up significantly? I am trying to plan a cichlid community with less aggressive species, so my plan was to do single fish, but I do see many people here with single species but then multiple Sevs. Is that because they're less likely to wreak havoc if they pair up or are people choosing same sex Sevs?

Thanks for patience with all of my questions. :)

Severums show their stripes as juveniles then they eventually show less unless its startled or being stressed. I heard some wc fish kee their stripes but not sure if it's true. Mine don't really show them except for the 2 smaller ones that get picked on. And as for pairs, yes they will get aggressive towards other Severums or other fish invading there space, mine are trying to spawn right now and the rest of them get constantly chased off. If you don't want any aggression I would go with just males or just 1 fish.
