tank is not cycled. always grow in cycled aquariums. Go get a HOB filter and BIOSPIRA. Petsmart is having a 25% sale off all aquatics. Also go to a LFS and buy rubble rock, should only be 1$ a lb. Get some of that in there too.

I have 5lbs of liverock from a cycled tank in there, and half the water is from a cycled tank. I don't see why it wouldn't be cycled?

Go get a HOB filter for a 10g. Grab a bottle of Biospira and your tank will be cycled and full of bacteria. Then you should be good until it hatches.

USE RECOMENDED DOSE .. More is not better. The bacteria will need food so I suggest picking up a small fish as well. Keep the tank going.

Best call before you waste a trip. I couldn't find that product on Petsmart's website, but I did find a bottle of Laguna Bio Booster which is only about 16 fl oz, information only says it's for ponds, and it looks like it's about $24 US
