Show Us The Different Species of African Rift Lake Cichlids..

I have been keeping NW's for about 10 years so I figured I would try some Africans.
Any advice besides getting a larger tank with more rocks

no dietary problems that i know of.. they all love Hikari pellets.. you may have a problem with aggression ...you could have aggression problems with any mixture of africans... but it is especially a problem sometimes with peacocks and mbuna..Mike would know more about this...

Mbuna will be the only problem, smaller rock tangs do well with peacocks. From your pictures the only problem I see is the Kenyi.

species tank - 75g wet dry. sand bottom and rock / fake plants. water was fairly hard from tap - and buffered with coral gravel in one of the trays.

fish were fed mostly frozen brine / bloodworm and good marine flake. bought five at about an inch and a half from an LFS (i had them on a want list for like a year and they finally found some) = within 6 months there were two left.

began breeding about three months before we moved - fry twice but they were still learning to be parents and ate them both times. had to give them away :(

anyway - this is the male. these are beautiful fish - will always be my favorite.
