fish were fed mostly frozen brine / bloodworm and good marine flake. bought five at about an inch and a half from an LFS (i had them on a want list for like a year and they finally found some) = within 6 months there were two left.

began breeding about three months before we moved - fry twice but they were still learning to be parents and ate them both times. had to give them away :(

anyway - this is the male. these are beautiful fish - will always be my favorite.

They are actually becoming more available now a days amd you will often see them for sale. On aquabid, there is a seller who sells pairs for a good price and I believe that is the same seller who Maheman got his kyoga flamebacks from. They are very nice fish and I would reccomend them to anyone.

Here is my 55 gallon mbuna set up

3 ice blue zebras
1 red zebra
1 cobalt zebra
2 OB zebras
1 demasoni
7 yellow tailed acei

And a few ice blue babies. the fish were not feeling picture friendly today so some of these are a little old.
