JayK1320, your fish is a Pterygoplichthys joselimaianus. Used to be L001/L022. They get real big real quick, I recently moved a 16" for a friend, it's a badass.

Yup definately P. joselimaianus, not P. gibbiceps.

Algae wafers, Kelp Pellets and Shrimp pellets plus any flake food dat hits da floor. He never sits still, always cruisin on the bottom!

I've been meaning too. But since I'm not big on veggies myself, I don't keep them on hand I am planning on picking up some cucumber...what else?...Someone said canned pees?

Davo's one of the key plec experts on this forum as he stated fresh veggies are a must...I use zucccini(sp), and frozen peas...I place the peas in a bowl of semi tepid water, pop them out of the skins and drop in the tank..The zukes I stick them with a stainless fork to weigh them down..My plecs are large so I don't even bother cutting it up. Wash , rinse and in the tank it goes...If I place a zuke in the tank before I go to bed by the morning there's just remenants..GL
