I had a 100# in the tank but he prefers dainichi pellets. He's fed 3 times a day. He'll eat wood when theres no other food. I noticed the spines on his pectorals have grown since he's been eating the pellets and only now has his wiskers started regrowing

I don't think that's a pleco... Nice fish though.
Plecos(Loricaridae) are the armored sucker mouth catfishes.
