Here's my silly common plec. Got him when he was only a wee lil fella at 1.5". Now he's 13" about two years or so later.

That is a scarlet pleco and he is about 12", they need more than just algae to survive. This guy eats pellets, worms, krill and anything he can get to and he occasionally likes to wrestle with my 14" red tapajos pike.

got a new breed of pleco... can anyone tell me what kind of pleco it is? even the one who sold it to me doesn't know what it is it is the one in the middle the long one... the one on the back is a blue pleco the nearest one is... i also don't know... just kept on buying exotic fish
hope someone can guess these species...

It isone of the Sturisoma species, a nigrirostrum I think, they are all pretty much alike, the genus ranges from 5" to about 13", if that is the nigrirostrum it gets a little over 10". They are peaceful but need algae or green veggies, and also scour wood fibers like some plecos.
