well not all need driftwood... its mostly a Panaque/Hypostomus cochlidon and a couple of species of Lasiancistrus thing. However, I keep driftwood in all my tanks, nice natural look, helps buffer the pH to an even more suitable pleco condition, gives hides and it is there for them to gnaw on if they wish. Some fish will use it some won't, my Hypancistrus gnaw away at the stuff, and they are a very carnivorous pleco.

Thanks i just wanted to make sure.. i will always have it around ..just wondered why he did not bother with it..
