silver aro and giant gourami

I actually see this combo quite often...with all types of arowana including jardini.

I am currently doing it...and I have done it in the past with success.

I have kept giant gourami with silvers and asians.

If you are going to try it make sure the fish are of a similar size. Tank size will also play a part..I do it in a 600 gallon tank.

I also have a RTGG with a silver in a 240 gallon. However the RTGG is definitely the more dominant.

Success with this combo can never be guaranteed though.

btw this is all with near adult fish...I have never kept them together as juvies.

RTGG are more passive then GGs thats just my personal experience

is it advisable to keep more than 1 GG on a tank? cause my GG is kinda skittish...i observed my GG and SA last night and definitely my SA is the dominant one, I hope that the tention will wear out eventually.

in my case the silver aro was introduced first to the tank.
the GG came in a month after.

get a pair of GG..they will keep running around behind each other and wont bother the aro.

after just almost a week of posting this thread..my GG starts to be getting aggressive..attacks my bichir all the time, and starts fighting back with my silver aro!
would another GG stop this aggression?
