yeah I do API water conditioner, switched to stress coat yesterday when topping off my hospital tank.

does it need to be epson salt or can I just get the salinity that high using aquarium salt?

so your not using water conditioner in the hospital tank??? You need to dechlorinate the water when doing a water change !!!
I hope you get him feelin better , water change 50% every other day!!

stress coat is a declorinator.

have both salts I'm just waiting on a response to salinity.

epsom salt is a completely different chemical. It will aid in flushing them out. It's not Sodium Chloride you don't want the salinity that high

thanks, how do I measure .4%? is there a formula or am I looking at a specific gravity reeding?

so 256 tblsp per gallon.

256x20= 5120

5120x0.0040= 20.48 so I need 20 tablespoons of epson salt?

well thanks for all the help but it does not appear he made it.

I'm washing my hands of arowana I love them, but apparently they are not meant to be.
