silver arowana floating/ curling up. weird mark.

was he off balance and not swimming, but mostly floating near the top?
if so, he probably jumped and hit his head pretty hard on the glass top.
i lost my very first and prized silver a few years back like this.
i heard a huge thump noise while watching tv, and next thing i know is the arrow floating lifeless
