i agree with centralmayhem cold bloods are always going on hunger strikes i once had a veiled chamelion that went off food for a few months after feeding it pinkys it fed fine on smaller food meal worms and the such i think it has a lot to do with fast the food breaks down theres a lot of nutreints in a large rat espicialy for a captive snake
i was going to adopt a pair pythons a few years back what changed my mind was the guy that had them said they ate geese or anything that size once every six months or less i couldnt help but think that during the fast period my cat would dissapear
also you noted the snake was still having movements that means the food is metablizing and this is a good indicater to me
