Oh no way, that makes so much sense now. Thanks for IDing for me. I bought them under the impression they were Channa Bleheri, since they were labeled as such. Im happy with them nonetheless, as they are quite playful and active.
Get out of here, oh no. I was hoping the 2 I have would pair. My other snakehead looks even more female, with the bottom fin in blue, rest of the body orange-ish, but body wise, he/she is bigger. But the 2 get along well, cuddle with each other quite oftenly (though I have seen them fighting once where they each had their jaws locked to each other)
