Weird isn't it, we have a serious cold snap over here and lots of people fall ill with flu( the elderly get a Flu jab for free in the up and coming winter months). You have a some dark skies and rain over there for a longer period of time and people get ill.
I suppose it's what you get used to and a long period of bad weather effects us all, even those of us in a tropical paradise
It's still raining over here btw but the temp is on the up, hit nearly 7c in direct sunlight the other day
