In keeping with the tradition of sharing photos that are the total opposite of Lou's tropical island. Here's our old disused pond, thankfully there were never fish in there. The garden was really nice when we did it up 8 years ago, since then next door to right has not touched his and it constantly invades ours and next door to the left got a dog that hates our dog and ours doesn't like there's either so they bark at each other all the time when they are both out hence why it's fallen into disrepair.

Just checked the camera and this is the only picture to share at moment it's full of the discus tank conversion pics.

Anyway we had a visitor, stayed for a few hours once the cats had been dragged in:

That bird looks like a Coot? Not that I know something about them... only saw these in books or TV or online...
