SomethingsPhishy is actually a scam

I agree, be careful in who you speak of.... I am a big fan of Dave at Something Fishy in OH. I ordered quite a few things from him and loved them.

I always felt kinda scared to order from somethingsphishy. Although they have a green phantom that caught my eye.

I meant somethingphishy. My fish are beautiful and healthy and I am VERY happy with my dealings with them. If they are SO bad, how come I found them through an advertisement on this sight?

I wished I had learned about that site Somethingsphishy before I had bought Discus from them. I actually thought they were a good place to buy discus from looking at their good reviews from custmers. At local places where I'm from they were selling discus for $40 to $50 each, I figured buying it online was cheaper for me figuring it was $8.89 each then the shipping it came out for me was $20 each for 5 discus. I didn't expect to see so many replies about what a bad company Somethingsphishy was, my bad sorry. I personaly don't think it matters if you pay a little less or more for Discus, when introducing a new fish they're always going to have some sort of dieases. It's all about the person who has experience and dedication with this hobbie and knowledge. I've had aquarium experience for over 20 years, and always had good experiences with my fish.

I work with the NYS Division of Criminal Justice and have contacts, and work quite frequently with, law enforcement in every other state from town and city police departments up to state and county level law enforcement.

If someone could please provide me with an accurate address and phone number for this business I will make a few phone calls.

According to the rip-off report article

Well ladies and gents I just happened to place an order with www.somethingsphishy.com without reading any reviews. Now that I have read the reviews from a couple of respected forums I will determine weather this is a good and legitimate place to shop from. My order is $87.40 without the shipping cost which I do find a little bit expensive at $57.60 all this totals at $151.33 ones the $6.13 are added for taxes. With that said ladies and gents please wish me luck.

Thanks to the posters that know me/us in Cleveland & making sure were not confused with this outfit in Florida.
I wish someone would make them go away! They have caused some problems for me here and there with either customer on the web or dealers thinking we were them! UGh

Hi everyone. I ordered 20 "grab bag" 2" fish from somethingsphishy. I have a new tank and didn't want to spend a fortune for startout. Even with the high shipping the fish price averaged to be $17 each. The fish that came were ablsolutely beautiful, very large assortment, and most were 3". They are active and well in my tank. I understand not receiving specific colors and that would be bad if you are trying to breed especially. Are there other problems with this vendor besides health and color? I am not in any way trying to downplay those very real issues, but is it actually a phishing scam?

I had them bookmarked, thanks so much for this post, I deleted it. Wow, I didn't know that and was going to actually order from them in the future.
