Yeah, looks like that. Not as many spots at the back though. Has 4 spots.

Will try and get a picture of him tonight. Might be a bit dark though. And he is always hiding somewhere :P

These are the best pics I can get of him for now.
Busy doing a water change and he likes to hide out most of the time.

def a peacock don't worry the biggest i've seen was 13'' and he was so fat but they have small mouths MABYE a few small tetras will go missing but probly not mine only eats worms night crawlers cut into small pieces mostly and Never comes out during the day unless theres food and even then he useually stays under the gravel and for the black worms feed him at night and the ones that get into the gravel don't worry these guys were designed to dig threw the gravel or sand and gobble up those little guys i think they have fun doing it plus for the eel it much safer for them to feed under ground then on top of it

It's getting close to a week now since I got my little buddy. :)

Have not seen him eat anything yet. But he's still looking fine (I guess). No heavy breathing and active when I get close to look at him (runs away :P)

Dumped 2 lots of black worms in there over the past week and he pays no attention to them. But I guess he's chowing down late at night when no one is watching.

i've seen my eel eat twice and i've had it for about 7 months so i figure its eating

Just a heads up eel are great hiders, they will disapear and reapear maybe weeks to months at a time, dont always assume if u see it move its eating.I had two peacock eels that i would never see them eat, i tired blood worms, meal worms, live guppies, ghost shrimp, and never saw them eat...they disapeared and reapeared 2 weeks later super thin. By the time i saw them again and realized they were going hungry it was too late. also my eels ended up three times in the filet so if they ever go missing....

i just got a striped peacock eel the other day and i cant get him to eat either i am going to try waving bloodworms infront of him but i put bloodworms in today and he didnt eat 1, i personally love these guys because they so far seem very peacfull - i have mine in a tank with a needle nose gar a large pleco and clown loach and they get along great!

They are fussy eatters, and mostly hunt at night.

I love them because their noses are very odd, and wiggle around when searching for food. Try live blackworms, as they seem to like to hunt live food. Putting a pinch of live black worms in when you turn your lights off or at night, and they will coast around and hopefully search for them.

Also, live ghost shrimp seem to do the trick as well. Mine seem to enjoy shrimp pellets, I know they eat them, but not sure if I've ever witnesses them swallowing them.
Frozen/live brine shrimp and bloodworms work too.

I have 10 peacock eels. All different sizes. I have them in a 180 Gallon with 3 Goldfish. And my goldfish seem to get my frozen bloodworms faster than my eels. There is a log in the tank for the pleco. But I created a pvc pipe condo for my eels. They LOVE IT!! But they also love hanging on plants. I have a bare bottom tank. But my eels swim around ALL during the day. I ALWAYS see them. But my question is.. is can I put some small fish in there in hopes they will eat them??? My goldfish I know won't bother them.
