What sort of filter setup are you going to run? I don't see any bulkheads for overflows so I'm assuming a canister setup but would like to know.
annnd thats where im stumped at the moment. lol :D
was thinking
1. 1 55g drum, pond overflows into it and pumps back to pond
2.same as 1 but with 2 barrels
3. build another box just like the pond but 4x2x2
pond would overflow into it.
problems with 3 are more wood, another pond liner,no clue how i could make 2 or 3 chambers for different media inside the liner.
#3 would look so nice tho, would blend in.
any ideas?

this is how im going to have it overflow
might do 2 overflow pipes like this
2 barrels or just 2 overflows into the box filter

This is pretty cool! You need to remember to put axles and a tongue on it so I can come by in the middle of the night and pick it up. ;)

its looking good midnight. I take it you're going to use a pondliner. And if you don't want anything 'above the pond' then you must have to drill in overflows? Could you take detailed photos of drilling through the pond liner? I was thinking about using a pond liner for my future raised pond but i don't really wanna drill through the liner. I was thinking of using some water proof paint. And using silicon to seal the edges.

Looks great:)

Whatever you do for filtration you have to incorporate some plants

Water Hyacinth or Lily would be great
Shade for your fish
Keep nitrates low
Less W/C's

If in full sun the tanks going to get pretty warm in the summer floating plants can help lower your temp

ya a liner.
to go through pond liner you just cut a x a bit smaller then hole.
im probably going to do it like i did in last pic."think last pic"
drill a hole in the wood, cut an x in liner, stick the pipe in from the inside and push through, then some type of glue around the pipe to seal.

and i have alot of floating plants :D
