Goodluck as I couldn't even get my tats off live. Never had problems with my armatus eating frozen but had to stuff the pellets in the smelts for him to get the more balanced diet.
If it isn't eating frozen then I would try to get it to eat frozen food and then start stuffing the frozen food with whatever pellets you want to feed it. I could never get mine to eat frozen so I eventually just sold them back to the lfs. Too expensive to feed live 24/7 365 days a year.
it's definitely possible to do it. People have different experiences with their payaras. Do they eat fish fillet right now? If not, I would train it to eat that first. I could get my armatus on pellets but many people have.
You can starve it for 1 weeks or more with no problem. make sure you feed it first.
No hes on live only and i have hem for a weeck now and still dont eat noting i just give some gold fish and i will gona starve hem other weeck and will see

Do not feed your carnivores gold fish! They contain thiaminase (sp?), and that stunts your fishs growth! Give him live earthworms

Is allready on carnistick he was 3 weecks with out food but now happy eating pellets so from live to pellets
