Stingrays banned in Ny

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
If I were to post what I thought of Bloomberg and his NY cronies I would be banned. But my BIG GULP is ooooh so sweet !

What, not a Super Big Gulp. If you are going to indulge, Super Size..............

meh!

Giuliani.."America's mayor' ( ha!) banned ferrets....
International airports are not under city jurisdiction.
EWR ( Newark) is ime a better airport to import into anyway.
All the existing rays would be 'grandfathered' in?
etc etc etc etc etc ......

someone call NY fish and game ( NOT US fish and wildlife)
I cannot find anything at all about this on google etc except for this thread....

this sounds like BS LFS myths to me.
' yeah you can keep a motor for life in a 40'...' rays are great in a community tank'....' I know this guy keeps blue whales at home'.... kinda thing....we've all heard examples.....
Most of those LFS guys would get lost of you put them in a box

And in a FREE country government shouldn't be able to decide if I want to be fat or drink soda.

This is wrong... They can not even import them through the airlines. All rays in this area now need to coe through NJ airlines

Right but once in jersey the NY wholesalers can easily get them like I said before I'm no expert just what the word is around here

Piranhas are illegal in NY as well I was told. It's because a vast majority of transpipping goes through NY and makes it easier for the states to get.

Sad news for NY residents. I would be worried that this will carry on to other areas and states or people will not know the difference. Wow a foot long salt water blue spot stingray. lol, sad that this is happening, funny how it can be just in the city and not in the whole state. Some lawyer should be able to find a work around or something.
