Yeah, of course you 'all gang' up on me because I've proved people wrong so many times before. I could very easily be wrong this time, but I've learned to try things rather than listen to other peoples opinions. The fish is going in the pond as well, I've already said that. I would never risk the fishes life to try and prove a point. Thanks for the debate 'DariusAmurdarja' your answer was actually very constructive.

Nobody is "ganging up". And I like that you try out things rather than blindly doing what people tell you, but with animals it's best not to do experiments, since you are responsible for the well-being of the animal.
It's good that you're going to put it in the pond, got pics?

When this thread stops getting new posts, the end result is that it is still your fish. So in an attempt to keep a peaceful and non offensive tone on mfk, do what you think best. You have heard the facts (provided by Darius, and they are entirely true) now it's up to you. Its your fish. Good luck!

The temp is quite high at about 81-ish.

I love these fish, I would be so nervous to try something like that! How is his eating habits? Does he show any signs of stress? What kind of sturgeon is he?

piicklez it doesn't prove anything like people kept saying a month doesn't mean much give it 5 more months an come back they can live in tropical temps for a while doesn't mean its doing them any good longterm.

dont get all offensive because you thought u were being smart proving loads of people wrong and it upset you when people turned around and said that you were wrong.

Im not sure what type it is:( I love them too, i think theyre awesome! he eats and of the pellets that go on to the bottom of the tank (Hikari) and he is always swimming around on the bottom in the search for food:)

I'm not getting offensive, im just showing you all that the sturgeon has lived in the tank for a month, everyone else is the ones who are being defensive trying to say that i'm wrong all the time. I dont get how the fish can live for 1 month and not 5, but hey-oh hes still always active, never stops swimming and he seems to love it. If anything does appear to be wrong I'll acclimate him to cold water and it will go in the pond, and ill report back to this thread also.

piicklez do you. Haters are going to hate. good luck bro

Thanks mate, i always like to try things out mainly because ive had bad information given to me in the past with things like 'oscars will not tolerate any other fish, not even another oscar' etc and i just try things out and so far ive never had to return a fish or had a single fish die in over a year now! :)

Cheers:)
