Supreme SuperKing Eugene G. Danner Filter

The one OP shown uses about 70 watt (115V x 60A), 10 times more energy than an AC110 or a Penguin 350 with less pumping rate and the media capacity is no more than either filters.
Pump technology and efficiency sure has come a long way in the hobby.

Supreme SuperKing Eugene G. Danner Filter any good? I have to clean it up and try it out. I have another, but missing the motor... How much WATTS does this use? Flow Rate? anyone have info?

I had one back in the early 80's. The return looked different though, it was circular and aimable, kinda like a pvc elbow. Flow? Omg, it had some power, 600gph if I recall correctly and it gave some wicked flow inside my 55 gallon. I see alot of people putting them down here but back then they were the king of all filters hands down. I wouldn't mind still running one today and having a hob filter that could circulate the water around the tank and back to the return instead of just being dropped straight down above the return like they all do now.

I remember those, we had them in the pet store I worked in as a teen(1987-1990)

They pushed Roughly 600gph if I remember correctly....
