Swim Bladder Disease - 12" Oscar

Guess he could have recovered from the illness but there is permanent damage to the swim bladder? Maybe a specialist vet could advice over the phone whether anything can be done.
I have seen on YouTube a guy who weighted his goldfish down with a little harness and weight.

I'm all about trying all options to cure the fish of the disease, but this life vest idea is a little out there......crazy!

Sounds like the damage to the swim bladder is permanent.

Well, just to update.

He's better. :)

Don't know what treatment did it, but looks like it was very slow. But anyway, he's back to pre sickness condition. Color is back, he can swim normally, eats like a pig.

To think...this all started back in Oct.

For a while I was thinking of euthanizing. Glad I didn't!

I have never heard of a fish coming back from that issue for that long. Yeah, I'm late to the party, but nice work!

Glad he made it!, Good job hanging in there with him. :)
