tank conversion 5000 to 10000 gallons

dont want to seem like an *** but why didnt you originally build a 10000gal plus instead of tearing down the original to upgrade after spending so much time and money for it?

3 years ago we built a 2400.
awhile ago we built the 5000.

now we removed the 2400 and are replacing it with a 5000
reusing the the SS and plexi ( $$$$).

when its done I will remove the4 wall between them and have 10000 in one tank.....


yes... if i knew then what i know now i would have started with 10000............but i never dreamed i would end up with 10000

clean up rubble
drill and epoxy rebar
set the first new block
completed wall joining old back wall to 5000 tank

All I can say is wow. I don't know if I would be willing to destroy such a nice tank just to make a bigger one, but of course space (I assume) is limited.

If you knew now what you will know in the future youre gonna say i should have built a 20000 instead lol

Looks great!!! Many say they will upgrade when the fish need it here is a case of a person actually doing it.
