My friend built a 800 Gallon tank last summer which was what got me interested in the whole saltwater thing now, he got a horn shark and a couple of reefs. He said he would help me build a 1000 Gallon this summer and I'm just doing my research so I know what I can stock the tank with safely :). By the way Deano, if you don't mind me asking, where do you get your rays from?
I bought them all locally except 1 that I picked up while 4 hours away. I bought 2 from a dealer and they both died but 1 of their deaths was my fault and the other just died on its own. I would definantly buy local if you can so that you can see them otherwise pm me and I can steer you to a couple of dealers at your own risk though or maybe someone else can here.

how far are you from Detriot? The last 4 that I bought are from a whole seller that supplies some place in Detroit. Maybe you could drive there and pick them up if he can get you what you want. As far as rays all I have seen there are the California Rounds and some guiatar fish and sometimes he has blue dots. Have you tried nyaquatic.com

I wouldn't trust ANY site that doesn't list a phone number on their site.
Well i remembered the first one I posted has a lot of complaints from customers so thats a wash, but i think a person could find out if a buisness is worthy

Dude's in Canada? Email Brenden at SRC (sharkraycentral.com) - he knows the places to go up there.

Alright, cool. I recently registered there so that's convenient. Is he a vendor or just someone who lives up here who knows reliable sources? By the way guys, I dont think anyone answered my question earlier about my tank size and the kind of filtration and water changes it would need? I'd really appreciate if someone could do that.

Think above and beyond what you would think you'd need... lol. Basically, get the biggest filter you can afford. Water changes... when you get bigger than 500 gallons, I advise that you go by regular water checks. When it needs changing, you change it. For me, it's about once a month, 10% change. And 0.00 ppm of nitrates/nitrites/ammonia is impossible (and probably means something is wrong with your cycle) - regardless of what people will tell you.

Brenden just knows the rules up there, and the people to talk to.
