The BIG Reveal - Chitala lopis

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
What a thread! Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

If only every tenth thread on the MFK was 1/10th as good as this one, we'd know incomparably more and the MFK would be a totally dominating leader in its field.
Thank you! I really appreciate it, and apologies for not updating more often. I am hoping to have genetic comparison done very soon. The hurricane halted a lot of the process and led to me having to redo most things which wasn’t too terrible.

Thank you for letting me sample some of your fish to use in the analysis.IMG_1434.jpeg
Anyways here are some new knifes I received from Wes @ Rare fish, not sure exactly what they are but supposedly wild caught. This was when I got them and they have gotten a fair bit darker in color now. It’s possible they may be juvenile borneensis or simply more C. lopis, I am happy with any outcome ultimately

As for the tank itself, doing much better without any bullies and the fish are doing great and progressively growing, two new additions are a pair of very large and fairly dumb wood cats and an extremely cryptic rhamphichthys (usually called ossa knife but I believe this may be a different larger growing species)
