Okay thanks a ton and any gars that are silver? mabey fw redtailed cuda?

the tarpon will problably eat the cuda. I suggest keeping them with fast growing fish that reach a minimum of 2 feet or a bit less. african tiger fish, armatus, arowanas, golden dorado etc.

Its basicly going to be a show tank and for any non beleivers this tank is my uncles and I am getting it as a christmas present so this is really going to happen. How about this 2 ladyfish, 1 tarpon, 1 aro, and one bichir. Decent show tank right guys and the aro is 8 inch for $65 is that fair?

An arowana would be a perfect tankmate for the tarpons. I had an Indopac that I got in the same shipment back in April that I got my GATF in. By the time the GATF killed it, it went from being the same size as the GATF to almost twice the GATF's size. The GATF got it to jump out of the tank. :/

The moral of that circuitous story is that a tarpon will outgrow an ATF quite quickly. Once my tigers have some more size to them, now that I've figured out how to tame them, I'm going to get more tarpons.

Also, lix, ladyfish aren't quite tarpon. Ladyfish and Tarpons are sister genera in the Elopidae family. Tarpons belong to the genus Megalops, where as ladyfish belong to the genus Elops.

HOnestly, I have no idea. I've never worked with them and I can't find any info on the husbandry of them. I know Wes (fugupuff) brought some in a while back, you might want to ask him.

On occasion. He is a very busy man but he is a key contributor of useful information.
