The Masked Shadow’s Fishing Thread!

Nice looking fish! Just a heads up, it should be scientific name and not Latin name for future reference. ?

Species #4

EEF90196-BC62-4B19-9D37-93EED33C3A08.jpeg

Species Common Name: Yellowtail Rockfish
Latin name: Sebastes flavidus
Size of catch: 10-18”
What it was caught on (bait/lure): Popcorn Krill hook with squid, and 2.5” Lingcod lures (multicolored)
What rig was it caught on: Double dropper loop
Where it was caught (place): J&M Fishing, Monterey CA
Where it was caught (topwater, midwater, etc): Bottom and bottom to mid water
Depth of catch: 150-230ft
How many: 7
Fight (0-10): 6/10
Other information: They hit the bait weirdly. Never had one that bites on the drop. I would be a few reel spins away from the bottom and suddenly I would get hit and my pole would go slack!
