jay, where you been? none of your "all boxing is fixed" or "this fight's gonna be fixed" talk? I'm a little disappointed

anyways what might suck is that ufc187 may suffer because of the may/pac fight. it's one of the most stacked cards in a while with two title defenses (jones/Johnson and Weidman/Belfort) not to mention long awaited khabib/cowboy matchup

i'm hearing talks of the boxing card being $100. after spending that, people may not want to buy the 187 fight.

I believe may/maidana was $75 in hd so $100 isn't too crazy to speculate

I say it goes 60/40 to Floyd. Pacman has to do more in this fight in order to win. He's has to get a ko to take the w while all Floyd has to do is run and drag it out to decision.

Mayweather vs Pac will either be electrifying, or extremely boring; depending on whether both fighters play it safe and get scared of each other.

I think Pac getting knocked out in one of his recent fights has probably shown May weather that the guy isn't invincible. Really hope it lives up to the hype

At least 5 years too late. Pacman is past his prime. Should be a good fight anyway. Mayweather should be victorious.

Murry's a counter puncher and they usually rely on the other guy punching himself out. Golovkin is too conservative of his energy to punch himself out so if Murry can't land a knockout punch he will not win this fight.

Seriously, take this boxing isn't dying junk here. You haven't posted one thing over there that you haven't already said here. you're STILL ignoring the most powerful piece of evidence that has been brought up (popularity has declined) while I continue to acknowledge yours (business isn't dead) so I'm really not sure what's left to discuss? You believe that because there's still some business left that it's doing well and I believe there once was a time that this was top tier one of the greatest star making sports in the world and those days have passed. No one could be "out of the loop" because it was BIG TIME, BIG HYPE, CANT MISS MENTIONS of it. I don't bring up other sports to compare them to boxing. I bring them up to show you where boxing ranked in popularity in the pass and where it stands now. Did you know hockey outsells the major sports playoffs? did you know it regularly produces the best playoff product? Does that elevate it to top teir status among the masses who simply don't care about it? Did you know soccer is the most watched sport in the world...yet a majority of US sports fans only tune in in RECORD numbers for a few events every couple years. Why can't take a look at those two sports and say wow there's some crazy passionate fanbase and a following behind it and say hmm maybe boxing is like this? instead you want to insist that the average joe and general population must care because the fanbase shells out some money?????????? That argument doesn't make any sense to me because you're not well rounded with ball sports. Your interests is in hand to hand combat only and refuse to acknowledge why other sports are brought up.

So for the last time, making money does not equate to still relevant to the average fan and "boxing is dead" is ALWAYS related to its standing with the general public. Not that no one will ever box or make money boxing again.
